Tiana Prince
Tiana is a lifelong lover of creative movement, mythology, magic, and devotional expression. She draws from her background in yoga, dance, theatre, and education to offer unique, heart-centered classes that weave together somatics and storytelling, movement and music, philosophy and poetry. Tiana completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico, where she fell in love with kirtan. During your training, Shambhala becomes more than a place where you practice yoga. You live at the school, practice there, learn there and share everyday life with the people around you.
The rooms are comfortable and welcoming, with accommodation options to suit different preferences and budgets. All the rooms have their own bathroom, shared only with the people staying in your room — not with the whole school.
With accommodation right at the school, your yoga practice, learning and everyday life naturally become part of the same experience. You can walk from your room to the shala, spend time in the garden, take a swim between sessions or simply find a quiet space to rest and recharge.
You’ll also have access to a washing machine, shower towels, a hairdryer in every room, and the sauna.
During the winter months, Shambhala Yoga School offers special sauna evenings — a lovely way to unwind after a day of practice.
Shared Triple Room with Patio

This room has a more sheltered orientation and receives less direct sunlight, so it can feel cooler during the winter months. If you prefer a brighter, warmer room, this triple room near the shala may be a better choice.
Shared Triple Room

Shared Double Room with Terrace
A comfortable shared room with two single beds, private en-suite bathroom, Wi-Fi and towels.
The highlight is your private terrace, offering a beautiful outdoor space to relax and enjoy the mountain and ocean views.
Single Room
A cosy private room with a single bed, Wi-Fi, and towels, offering a little more privacy and your own space to rest after a day of practice.
The room has access to a terrace with beautiful views towards the Atlantic Ocean. The bathroom is shared with one other person.
At Shambhala, sharing food is part of sharing life together. Meals are a lovely opportunity to slow down, connect with one another, and enjoy the simple moments that make the experience special.
In Bhakti yoga, even the simplest everyday moments can become an expression of devotion. Preparing food with care, sharing it with others, and coming together around a meal are opportunities to practice gratitude, connection, and community.
During your training, you’ll share three daily vegetarian meals with your fellow students. Fresh ingredients will be available for you to prepare your meals together, making food another part of your journey into Bhakti yoga and the experience of living and practicing as a community. Coffee is available throughout the training, too!
Shambhala can accommodate vegan and gluten-free diets, and they’re happy to consider other dietary needs. If you have any specific requirements or food allergies, please let them know before you arrive so they can prepare and have the necessary ingredients ready for you.
Discover the Heart of Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti yoga is the path of devotion, explored through practices such as mantra chanting, devotional singing, and contemplation. It invites you to explore qualities such as love, gratitude, and connection as part of your yoga practice.
Kirtan is a traditional practice within Bhakti yoga in which mantras are sung together, often through call-and-response, accompanied by instruments such as the harmonium. Through repetition, rhythm, and sound, chanting becomes an opportunity to participate in a shared musical and devotional practice.
During this 50-hour training at Shambhala Yoga School in Tenerife, you’ll explore the philosophy behind Bhakti yoga and experience the practices of mantra and Kirtan in a small, supportive group. No previous singing or musical experience is needed.
